MNTC to stage tourism and travel fair
For the seventh year, the Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) will gather once again tourism stakeholders from North and Central Luzon for its annual “NLEX Tara Na Sa Norte” Tourism and Travel Fair.
This event which is a testament to MNTC’s commitment to boost economic and tourism development in the Northern Philippines, will be held at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City from July 17 to 19.
The seamless and high quality road provided by NLEX and SCTEX has heightened the interest of foreign and local tourists to visit North and Central Luzon.
“Northern Philippines has a lot to offer--- heritage sites, pristine beaches and the best regional cuisine, not to mention the iconic and colorful festivals celebrated every year. MNTC has been promoting tourism in the provinces, not only because NLEX provides the access to the beautiful destinations in the North, but because it believes that tourism is a key growth driver. People should explore and enjoy these wonderful places,” said Renato Ticzon, MNTC Vice President for Marketing.
The “NLEX Tara Na Sa Norte” Tourism and Travel Fair will showcase various destinations, tourism products and services, crafts, and delicacies from North and Central Luzon to the people in Metro Manila.
At least 100 entities consisting of hotels, resorts, travel agencies, tour organizers, airlines, and government agencies are taking part in the event.
Travel exhibitors will offer affordable package tours, special promo fares, and discounted rates from hotels and resorts during the three-day affair.
Special activities include raffle draws, arts and crafts demonstrations, food tasting, speed caricature drawing, and “Travel Hunt.”
Cultural shows are also in store for visitors as the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) brings weavers from the Cordilleras and performers from the indigenous people community.
The “NLEX Tara Na Sa Norte” Tourism and Travel Fair is co-presented by the Department of Tourism (DOT) Regions 1,2,3 & CAR and Ayala Land, Inc. and supported by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Cebu Pacific Air, Clark Development Corporation, Maynilad, Phil Hydro, Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), and North Philippines Visitors Bureau (NPVB) and media partners Philippine Daily Inquirer and Business Mirror.
