Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) president and CEO Rodrigo E. Franco turns over to Angeles University Foundation (AUF) president Dr. Joseph Emmanuel L. Angeles a check valued at P100,000 as the tollway company’s support for AUF’s scholarship program. The turnover was held during the halftime of the NLEX Road Warriors game against Talk N Text Katropa at AUF Sports and Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.
MNTC, concessionaire of NLEX and SCTEX, has been committed to advance education by helping schools across North and Central Luzon thus improve the lives of families in communities traversed by its expressways. The company, through its holding firm Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), also provides scholarship grants to financially-challenged but deserving students who want to realize their dreams of finishing college education. The MPTC Scholarship Program now has 28 scholars since the program started in 2012.
Joining Franco and Angeles are: (from right) MNTC senior vice president Romulo S. Quimbo, PBA Commissioner Chito Y. Narvasa, NLEX Road Warriors head coach Yeng M. Guiao, MNTC COO Raul L. Ignacio and NLEX Road Warriors team manager Ronald T. Dulatre.
